Speaking
If you want your conference, event, or group gathering to include the word “amazeballs”, then you want me to speak there! With my BFA in theater from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and 2 current performers union cards in my wallet, I can humbly say that I’ll light up the stage and your audience with my enthusiasm, kick-butt questions, and guaranteed a-ha! moments for all. I’ve lead workshops and presentations at CUNY’s Macaulay Honors College, the sold-out Etsy Success Symposium, and SXSW Interactive 2011.
“You were amazing yesterday, and I can’t thank you enough for taking part in our event. It meant a ton to the young women who were there. I’ve already received several emails singling out your opening presentation as the high point of the day. You provided precisely the note I hoped we could begin the event upon! I look forward to working with you in the future, and introducing you to more of our students.” -Mike L, Director of Immersive and Personalized Education, Macaulay Honors College at CUNY
But don’t take Mike’s word for it! Take a look below for the entire video presentation of my workshop at the sold-out Etsy Success Symposium (100 people in attendance in-person with approximately 1500 streaming it online), Ascertaining Your Awesomeness and Articulating It Without Sounding Like an Ass:
You can also listen to my co-presentation at the 2011 SXSW Interactive conference on DIY Online Workshops: Best Practices and Worst Mistakes by clicking here.

I’d also be super thrilled to speak on the following topics:
- Ascertaining Your Awesomeness: finding your mission statement/elevator pitch/the “why” of doing what you do, so you can help yourself stand out as a job candidate/shop owner/entrepreneur)
- When You Grow Up: for those unsure what they want to be when they grow up no matter their age, we’ll be able to access their transferable skills (and what they enjoy using), their interests (and how that can translate into a field they’d love to work in), their personality type (and how to use it to find a career they’d thrive in), their work values (so they know what environment they’d work best in), etc. This would be a longer workshop, but can also be focused around one of those pieces at a time.
- The Goal Game: learning the process to not only break down – and reach! – you goal(s), but to have fun along the way without your head exploding
- The Secret(s) of Being a Successful Entrepreneur (Without Being a Hippy-Dippy): the lessons I’ve learned on why my business works, and how you can apply ‘em to your own entrepreneurial endeavors – belief in The Secret not necessary
- An Effective Escape: how to leave your day job while still being a grown-up
- Work-Life “Balance”: how you can get a personal life and reach those goals without super powers or a 20-hour day
If any of these topics interest you, or if you want me to customize a topic just for your group, contact me and throw it out there. I’m not scared. I’d love it!
