Sounds like you know what the top of the mountain looks like, Diana - it's the climbing part that's tough! Can I suggest that you start with a bit of brainstorming, on all the ways you can build your portfolio, expand your online biz, make new connections, & have your own solo show? No censoring allowed! Even if they're silly or totally out there, write it down. When you've thought all there is to be thought, then pick one idea from each list & start climbing!

I'm hoping to do more and more online business, and spend less time at stressful (to me) art shows. I'm hoping to build my Natural History portfolio, make new connections, and have my own Natural History solo show.

And yes, I will get there. Not always sure what steps to take, but my feet are on the road.

Thanks for drawing the drawing to inspire my question, Nicole! With your talent & chutzpah (a lot of people wouldn't sent me the email you do promoting themselves) I know that you're climbing that mountain & will soon reach the top!

Thanks for using my hope drawing here Michelle! I really like Sarah's comment about how the view can change as you climb the mountain--this reminds me of how every day gives me a new vantage point, and I am thankful for that. I am hoping to keep growing my art business so that I can continue doing art full time indefinitely!

Are you ready to climb the mountain, Anna? (In my head, you're giving me a resounding YES!)

Thanks so, so much for starting us off, Sarah & Torrie! Can you tell I've gotten a slow start to my day today?

Sarah - 22 hours of baking in a 48 hr time period? You should be at the top of Everest by now! Make sure you're keeping track of all of those accomplishments from when they're outta sight, outta mind. Keep them in your sights always always!

Torrie - You can do it! Do you have a structure in place to help you succeed? Whether it's a treat you know you'll bribe yourself with when you get to word 501, or a Do Not Disturb sign on your office door, make sure you're putting things in place so you have the greatest chance for success.

Myself - See, I'm gonna respond, too! Today, I'm hoping to assert the boundaries I've set for myself (I've blocked my time for the year & am sticking to it!) & make sure I always have the Breathing Room I need to choose a fun, productive, energizing day instead of a tiring, frazzled one. And YES, I'm ready to make that climb to not only trust what's best for me, but enforce it.

I am hoping to get this bakery business off the ground. After baking for 22 hours this weekend I feel like I'm definitely climbing away! This print makes me think of how perspective can change when you're climbing mountains. Sometimes the goal you're reaching for is out of sight, but then you catch a glimpse and your strength is renewed as you see the target. I feel like each small step along the way (getting the website up, getting our first order!!, hearing and seeing how much people enjoy our samples) gives me a little glimpse of the full blown success that is waiting just up the hill!
