We must be around the same age, because I was all over "Flood" in 11th & 12th grade. Actually though, the album came out years before that. So maybe not so much. Maybe it's just an album that high schoolers relate to? And yes, I'm one of the jumpy girls when "Blister in the Sun" comes on. One episode of "My So-Called Life" starts with Angela dancing to it in her bedroom, and I think every teenage girl went to buy the album after seeing that so they could recreate it. It still remains to be my favorite song.

So glad you liked it, Jeremie! Been meaning to add "Punk Rock Girl" on there - that was a perfect one you suggested, too.

Ah "Birdhouse in my soul" and the rest of the Flood album kept me going during my grade 11 year of high school when I was undergoing my transformation from Geek to Geek who helped the football team pass grade 12 math and therefore gained some popularity (it also helped that I had a really big car that could drive a lot of people around).

"Blister in the sun" makes me think of university where no other song could bring so many girls onto the dance floor to hop up and down and dance with.

Some great selections that bring back good memories and a smile to my face,

thanks!
