We’re Gonna Be On Renovation Realities!
DREAM COME TRUE ALERT!
I’m not sure when Luke & I first watched Renovation Realities, but it quickly became our favoritest show – even when we didn’t own our home and renovating anything was a distant dream! We would often finish an episode and glance at each other lovingly and say, “We’d be awesome on that show! We’d be so nice to each other and be such a good team and dance around a lot and be so funny and silly…Renovation Realities needs us!” Which are famous last words because….(as you can guess by now)…
WE’RE GONNA BE ON RENOVATION REALITIES!!!!
We got through two rounds of auditions and just found out last week that we made the show! We’ll tape in about a month and have no idea when it’s gonna air, but we’ll keep you posted. We’re going to be demoing a closet to make it into a breakfast bar/storage area along with a kitchen overhaul – new countertops, cabinet refacing, backsplash, and some more demo. They’ll definitely be plenty of snarky title cards (our favorite part of the show!) to go with our episode, as well as lots of mix-ups and not-very-attractive shots of us waking up, doing lots of manual labor and working well into the night.

And if you guys aren’t watching Renovation Realities, you sooooo need to start. It’s absolutely the reason why reality TV was invented.

Holy moly! This is amaaaaazing! I've never heard of this show, but I'm going to have to start watching. I love renovation-type shows, especially when they're working on smaller spaces like apartments. I am REALLY excited about this. Also, Mary's gonna flip out when I tell her. Woo!

Thanks you guys! It's sooooo ridiculous, and we're gonna look like such schmoes (we absolutely don't really know what we're doing/getting ourselves into), but we think it'll be fun. Hope they let us play music and dance and sing while we're working, because that's where the magic happens! Ha!
@Kylie – Usually they work on houses in the 'burbs or in rural spots. I think that was one of the reasons we were cast this go 'round! That, and the crew wanted to come to B'klyn

That is so amazing! I've never heard of the show before now, but I'm addicted to home improvement shows in general, so I'm sure that's right up my alley. I hope I get a chance to see your episode. Do they air on Hulu or anything? We skimp on cable and just go straight for Netflix on Demand …

@Andrea – I'm not sure! I hope so, because I think a lot of people don't get that network, even with their cable package. I'll definitely keep you posted!
