Great Giveaway #4: Botanica Photographics, Olive & Hope, & Jessica Torres Photography!

It’s Great Giveaway #4! Happiness & sadness. Happiness that we’ve gotten this far (haven’t the packages been awestometastic, if I do say so myself?) & sadness that there’s just 1 day left.

OK. I’m over it. Let’s commence with the happiness, shall we?

Oh! In case you’ve just arrived, every day for this entire week I’ve had a package of products (yes, that means more than 1!) featured, all of which will go to that day’s winner. Each giveaway will be open for entries until 6/8, & I’ll use random.org to announce all the winners on my blog on 6/9.  So if you haven’t already, head to this week’s earlier entries & comment for your chance to win. Then, come back tomorrow for yet another chance. Fun, right?! Right!

Now we’ll commence with the happiness.

Mike Cullen

It’s a photo that looks like a painting that’s printed directly onto a sheet of aluminum. It’s so the future, & Botanica Photographics is bringing it to ya. And because I’m the host, it makes me instantly hip & trendy, too. Even though calling myself “hip” & “trendy” makes me automatically not. I can never win. But you can! With my contest. (Whew! Glad I brought that around). You can check out Mike’s work on his website, tweet him on Twitter, & fan him on Facebook. Oh yeah. Totally the future.

Olive and Hope

Danette is so freakin’ hilarious, I’d be remiss if I didn’t print the product description she sent me for this giveaway: “(1) Desi is made up of turquoise colored beads with a vintage look. She is one size fits most, and is uber comfortable. She is gorgeous, and loves to go out on the town! A little secret about her…she likes to be shown off – don’t break her heart and make sure you do. (2) Well Said Ring – Dream Big. Inspired by reaching for the stars, living big, big dreams, not holding back, etc. Wearing this ring is an instant reminder to Dream Big. We are entitled to our Big Dreams…you can declare that when you are wearing this ring! The ring is available in black and white and pastels.” No wonder her clients say that her rings are “like candy” & “make me so happy” & “can’t have just one.” Lucky winner – you get two! You can always purchase more at the Olive & Hope Etsy store, & get to know Danette’s awesomeness on her blog, Twitter & Facebook fan page!

Jessica Torres

Jessica lives in a small Idaho town outside Boise with one computer-geek husband, two rambunctious little boys, one adorable baby girl, & her camera.  When she’s not taking pictures, she works full time, go to basketball and T-ball games, reads stories to her kids, hikes around beautiful Idaho, reads a lot of books & blogs, sews a bit, crochets a bit, rearranges furniture in her house & avoids the laundry. With all that on her plate, I’m thrilled she makes the time to share her talent! You are so gonna wanna check out her website, Etsy shop, Facebook Page & Twitter feed!

In order to enter the Great Giveaway #4, submit your comment that answers the following question:

If you were forced to pick 1 activity that you’d have to do every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

You have until 6/8 at 11:59p Eastern to enter with your comment for this & every Great Giveaway this week (1 entry per Giveaway per person)! Winners will be announced on 6/9, but don’t forget to come back tomorrow to enter Great Giveaway #5 with prizes from Crafty Fanny & Sweet Eventide!

If I had to pick one activity – chore wise – it would be pulling weeds. Pulling weeds, believe it or not, is something that soothes me – and it's instant gratification!

If it were an activity for fun, it would be to take photographs. I would carry my camera with me everywhere and just take picture after picture . . . .

Thanks so much for another great giveaway!

  2. Sarah Says:

    I love those rings!

If I had to pick one activity it would be to paint.
I recently picked up painting to help with some anxiety, etc.
It has been a lifesaver. It is a terrific way to cope!

  3. Kelly K. Says:

    Great giveaway!

I would choose to give my husband a hug every day. But, for another fun activity, I would take at least one photo per day.

  4. Jadyn Says:

If I was forced do just one thing…

oh boy, the idea fills me with anxiety – I get bored so quickly

Maybe it would be to come up with ideas to help improve things around me. I know, it is abstract but that's what I'd do and I'm sticking with it!

  5. Catie Says:

Ooooh, if I had to do one thing everyday… Hmmm… I think I'd dance. All day. Now, I should mention here that I'm TOTALLY NOT a dancer. Like, I took a "house" dance class when I was eight (I was TERRIBLE) so I can do a mean running man or a wicked Roger Rabbit but I'm so NOT a "dancer" which makes it even more fun to think about just dancing all day without any expectations or goals or disappointments – Just Dance. And laugh at myself. And then dance some more.

  6. Christina Says:

I sound like a broken record. If I had to do one activity it would be to run. :)

  7. Adriana Says:

Ooh, that's an interesting thought. I would go on a walk. I go on walks pretty much all the time anyway. For some reason, even after almost 25 years of going on walks, I still love them!

  8. Jennifer Says:

If I had to choose an activity that I could do over and over for the rest of my life… it would be to relax and chill. I so rarely get to do that in real life!!!

  9. Jenny Says:

I guess it would have to be blogging – I love it!

  10. Square-Peg Karen Says:

Oh! Just ONE – I want several!

Well, if it's gotta be just one, then I'll go with conversing with brilliant people about all manner of things (it is SO just one– the conversing thing).

  11. hayley l. Says:

Hmmm…one activity for the rest of my life? I would have to say gardening. It relaxes me to dig in the dirt, to prune and primp and dote on the little plantlings, to cultivate and to start the whole process again. I always learn something and it gives me so much satisfaction.

    Thanks for the chance!

  12. Tiffany A. Says:

One activity for the rest of my life… I wish I could make myself run everyday or at least just a few days a week. I can't run at all and when I do run, I die by the time I get to end of my street ;) I wish I could push myself harder!!!

  13. Renee Says:

One activity I would do for the rest of my life is….ballroom dancing with my husband.

  14. Hannah Says:

haha – watch Rent the musical in NYC, me sitting in the front row.

  16. Design Sage Says:

I love the Botanica photographs. I guess if Monet was alive today he'd be doing the same thing. I like the impressionistic quality to them.

  17. deanna Says:

My first reaction was to say "sleep" but that feels like a cop-out.

One thing I'd do everyday is draw. No doubt about it. I've always been most comfortable with pens and pencils.

  18. Shannon Says:

Create a new piece of wonderful gourd art each day…

  19. Katherine Says:

Swimming! I recently started swimming again and it's just divine

  20. Meggy Says:

Write. No question. I just wanna write.

  21. Alana Says:

Wow – it's hard to pick just one. Meditate. Right now, it's what keeps me sane.

  22. Heather Says:

    one thing every day? paint.

  23. sarah r. Says:

only one activity for the rest of my life? yikes, that so tough! i think i'd say yoga, because it calms the body & the mind, which i feel like i'd need if i could only ever do one activity…

  24. Delcie Says:

Going for a walk, one activity I would like to do every day for the rest of my life.

  25. stephanie m Says:

if i had to pick one activity to do for the rest of my life it would definitely be reading! theres just not enough hours in the day for me to get as much reading done as i'd like. :) i could only imagine what it would be like to literally run out of books! haha! it kind of reminds me of the old twilight zone episode "not enough time" where the world ends and theres one survivor who prior to the end of the world caught so much guff for wanting to read so much. he was excited to have all the time in the world to read as much as he wants without any interruption until he breaks his glasses and cant see a thing!

  26. Sarah Y Says:

meditate. Because it's my lifeline to my lifeline. But can I also walk, read, eat chocolate and potty every day too?

  27. Abbie Says:

One thing I had to do everyday? Make someone happy or contribute to someone's life in some way :)

  28. Shelley Says:

Being a grandma, just being around the little ones make me happy !!

  29. Allie Says:

If you were forced to pick 1 activity that you’d have to do every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I would read :-) I don't have enough time to sit and read a book now, and that is something I would love to be "forced" to do. I think it would make me smarter, more interesting person.

  30. Trenda Says:

    Drawing

  31. chris Says:

I would DANCE…-yes, I think I could spend the rest of my lifetime dancing every single day…

  32. Taryn Says:

Eat nutella with chocolate chip cookies :)
