Great Giveaway #3: Kathleen Magistro, Jess Swift & Diana Brennan!
It’s Great Giveaway #3! Can you stand it? I love these crazy-ridiculous talented ladies & am thrilled to pass their photos, prints & cards along to one lucky reader. OK, I want all these prizes for myself, but “they” say that giving is better than receiving. We’ll see about that.
In case you’ve just arrived, every day for this entire week I’m gonna have a package of products (yes, that means more than 1!) featured, all of which will go to that day’s winner. Each giveaway will be open for entries until 6/8, & I’ll use random.org to announce all the winners on my blog on 6/9. So if you haven’t already, head to this week’s earlier entries & comment for your chance to win. Then, come back tomorrow for yet another chance. Fun, right?! Right!

I can’t mention Jess Swift without sounding like a crazy stalker, which is how much I love her as an artist & friend. She picked this particular print for the giveaway because she thinks it aligns with the When I Grow Up message (it does), & added “Do what YOU want! You know best for yourself. What makes your heart sing? What makes your skin buzz with energy and excitement? Do that.” Couldn’t have said it better myself. Hi! I just found your site through The Bright Side Project and saw this contest… I love Jessica Swift too, ever since I saw an exhibit in Atlanta. I gave one of her prints to my husband for Valentine's day! Lately, live music has gotten me inspired to be creative myself — especially music from The Avett Brothers!

Exciting ideas – that is why I love blogs (like this one!) and listening to podcasts (like Jamie Ridler's podcasts). Also, walking around in an exciting city – last year I got to visit NY twice and I really want to go back!! This year, I went back to my hometown near Amsterdam and loved walking around in Amsterdam visiting all my favorite spots.

Sharing a new idea with a friend who just "gets it" and mirrors back the excitement and the energy; it's such a thrill! And I get so pumped and jazzed about my project that I get most of it done, and come up with new ideas. Some of my best ideas were birthed during conversations with friends.

achieving a goal, whether it be in my worklife, fitness-related, or creatively… when i reach/surpass a goal, i just feel SO HAPPY

My skin buzzes when I'm surrounded by people who are positively working with me to reach the same goal (i.e. like working on a show with people who aren't willing to give up when it gets tough or building a house or a set and understanding that we have to work as a team to accomplish the best product). I love actually seeing my achievements in front of me. There will ALWAYS be those times when I want to give up and there will ALWAYS be points when it doesn't seem worth it but if I can look at pictures of where I ended up when I struggled through, it reminds me that it's ALWAYS worth it.
