Jenn Lee is awesome! Don't read her blog as regularly as I want to, though. Gotta make sure it's in my reader stat!

I wish I could take credit, but got the idea from Jenn Lee (lifeunfoldsblog.com) -- but I get credit for sharing this spectacular little technique :)

I LOVE THE PERMISSION LIST, CAROLYN! I am so using that & stealing it as a tool for my clients. How liberating & fun & just what's needed. Not to say that just because you write it down means you're going to do it, but if there's intent & structure behind it (say, I have permission to do nothing for an hour & not feel guilty about it) then it helps you get that much closer to making it work. You are a genius.

Michelle your comment is exactly what I want to take less seriously. Ugh, time management - even that phrase sounds yucky! I have created a permission list for myself - on the back of some old scrap paper (really yucky looking but that's not the point!). And the first item on my list is...
Carolyn you have permission to: do nothing! and another one ... Carolyn you have permission to: ditch your to-do list!
So when I feel guilty or stressed about something (especially like not doing something on my to-do list, I read that sentence). But it's really fun to create a permission list of a zillion items when you're in the moment -- just writing it down and taking ownership of it is so liberating!
Love Tough Question Tuesday!

I love that you recognized, Magchunk, that getting "worked up" doesn't help. Coming up with fun ways to make some money would help, though! I know it's easier said than done, but this is such a great first step!

Hmm I take many things too seriously :)

I've been stressing about $$ for a few weeks but I think it's time to let that go and believe that everything will work out. It's not totally senseless worry, but once I do what I can there is no sense in getting worked up over it because then I can't function as well and that doesn't help anything.

So I'm going to chill out about the bills and instead think of fun ways to bring in some pocket change!

I've become so serious about my time management, now that my business has grown & there seems to be nothing but dozens of To Dos to cross of each & every day. This feeling of No Time makes me frazzled & anxious, but it I take it less seriously I might actually enjoy myself. I think there needs to be less focus on The Tasks & more focus on being present with them. Then, if I don't finish everything I wanted to, I know that I still had a fulfilling, productive day. And I gotta throw more bribery in there & more personal time - it's not all about work-work-work, but about staying connected with those that are important to me & with the things I do that I find fulfilling (kickboxing, yoga, singing, writing).
