Just commented on it. Love it. Oddly enough, a client of mine just took her first lesson on Sunday & loved it too. She flew 4 times & was unable to throw her knees over the bar, & then she thought class was over & went to change. She came back out & the instructors were like, "There's still 15 min left?! What are you doing?! Get back up here!" She did, & on her 5th fly she did it. AND a double backflip to the net. I'll just be happy if I don't throw up/crap my pants/chicken out & go back down the rickety ladder. Diana - Hell yes! It was actually my friend Elizabeth Blue's idea – to celebrate her birthday and anniversary of living in New York. She gathered a few adventure-loving girlfriends and we all went. It was a BLAST. And also? I hated it! Haha!

But. I'm so glad I went. I don't love heights either, or rickety platforms that you stand on high in the air. And it was a really difficult evening for me. But I'm glad I took the risk, took the leap, quite literally, and faced something I didn't want to do. I lived! That's the point. ;)

It seems so small when I phrase it like that, while in Real Life it's looming very large & making me both excited & scared*! And by "all" I mean "Making a lucrative living as a coach that will carry me through retirement." Y'know, the little stuff. I've decided recently, though, to embrace the Scary & the Risks. The first day I work for myself, I'm going to go to take a lesson at the flying trapeze school. Please note that I do not like heights, but there's something about soaring in the air that is just so, so cool. It's the ultimate embody of me of Scariness & Risk, so why not jump off the ledge & trust the freefall?! *If you have "On the Steps of the Palace" in your head, give yourself 100 musical theater nerd points.
