Tough (Question) Tuesday: What decision would your inner child make?
Out of the Box by Heidi Burton
Yup…I stole this Tough (Question) Tuesday right from the illustration above! Think about all of the decisions you’re currently trying to make (even if they’re serious ones!) & ask:
What decision would your inner child make?
Join me in the comments section with your response (otherwise I’ll feel very, very lonely…)!

My inner child would decide to yell at me for telling to be responsible all the time.

Thanks for getting us started, Cory! I gotta admit I scheduled this yesterday, & since I'm home sick today I forgot it went up already!
I'm definitely experiencing a bit of a challenge in moving ahead with Me Time, even though I've stuck to my guns & gotten at least 90 minutes of it in every week for the past month or so (post about that to come!). I think my inner child would be really angry that I don't allow myself to play enough as she wants!

My inner child is happy to hear this. She is telling me just to do today and not think so much. Too much thinking leads to second guessing and inaction.

Ooh, I love that, Shell. I wonder where, as adults, we lost the impetus to just do & instead mull & think & stress. Let's find out, get a time machine, & go back to get it!

My inner child wants me to relax and stop worrying so much. I drive her crazy sometimes

Watch out, Thekla – she might throw a spitball at you!

My inner child wants more pets! And more time playing outside in nature. Not strenuous hiking (I was known to whine on long hikes as a child), just ambling around, smelling the fresh air and looking at flowers and stuff.

For some reason, Laura, I see you a la Julie Andrews in the opening of The Sound of Music…:)

My co-worker just turned me on to this site and I love it! My problem I don't where my inner child is and I don't know how to find her!

Oh no! Your inner child is making you play hide & go seek, Catherine! I have a feeling you can find her…..Maybe think of all the things you used to do as a kid. Short of playing "teenager", what still appeals to you as an adult? Yes, even include the silly things like making Shrinky Dinks (I'm showing my age!) or coloring! If you're still drawing a blank, I highly highly (highly!) recommend buying Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith. I'm still wrecking mine (you can read my Wrecking posts <a href="http://whenigrowupcoach.com/blog/?s=wreck+this+journal" rel="nofollow">here), & I have to tell ya that if that doesn't bring out your inner child, nothing will!

Thank you so much for the advice! I will definitely go & get the journal. BTW – I too loved shrinky dinks! I think I'm going to see if I can find them for my kids this weekend. Thank you!

So fun, Catherine! And thank you for not making me feel old

Ahhh my inner child and I are SO in touch, we're best friends
She'll eat Nutella for breakfast and cereal for dinner! Sometimes I make her eat salmon but she loves that too.
I've stayed in without leaving the house for 2 days watching DVD's just because (oh I was sick haha) and sometimes stay in jammies till well past lunch.
Oh and I can't even count the # of times we turn the music up loud and sing and dance along. MIK (my inner kid) rules! I'm not kidding … I'm Inspired by Fun and she's the Boss

My inner child would hate salmon! She'd only eat grilled cheese sandwiches. I wonder if that's why they're still my favorite.
And Tia – my inner child had me watch High School Musical once, and made my husband watch Punky Brewster DVDs last month. My inner child is so fun!
