Tough (Question) Tuesday: What’s the one habit you need to change?

“Just Let It Go,” from Kotama Bouabane‘s Melting Words, found via Design in Mine
As usual, think of that one goal that’s been alluding you, or you’re having trouble grasping. Think of the roadblocks that have gotten in your way. Now ask yourself:
What’s the one habit you need to change?
As usual (again), I’ll start us off in the comments with the answer to this question. It’s going to be a good one for me!

My one habit I need to change can be summed up by phrasing it as: Being Superwoman.
I can't be all things to all people. And I need time for me. So, I'm getting out of the habit of having "me time" fall by the wayside & will now honor it as if it's a client session. It's happening, people. And I have a feeling that you're going to read about it…

Well I actually started working onone of my goals today! I am starting a new eatting plan (I don't want to call it a diet because diets never work)! I went shopping for all new food and I am ready to do this!
The other thing I do need to work on is being more organized. I would love to have a kitchen or an office where everything has a home and I'm not always searching for that one peice of paper that I'm missing! I'm putting together a plan to attack this goal as well so I'll let you know when I get the system up and running! : )

That's awesome, Sara! I love that you're not calling your new way of eating a "diet" – an amazing first step that not many people grasp. And I also think it's great that you can see a possible future roadblock – not being organized – & you're attacking it BEFORE it becomes a problem. Would that be the habit that you need to change? Being disorganized? Can't wait to see how this plays out for you!

My one habit that I have been working on for quite awhile now, and talked about here before, is working on my pessimism and the angry reactions I have around my pessimism. I have no desire to get rid of my pessimistic side entirely, but I still need to work on controlling it.
To help, I have recently started writing down the steps I have followed to get this far and what steps I can take in the future to continue improving.
Michelle – you can still be a Superwoman, just remember that all super heroes spend time as their alter ego as well.

LOVE THAT, JEREMIE! What a great perspective. It'll also allow me to be nicer to myself when I wear my glasses
I know you'll squash the Pessimism Monster as much as you want. You're awesome like that.

Playing Settlers of Catan on Facebook. Very bad. Sucks up time and those damn Smartbots cheat all the time!
So why do I do it? I love the game and there is a defined set of rules, know where you are and what to do and at the end you know if you won or lost. Not at like marketing a business.

So maybe it's not a bad habit, Celina, but a release? Or a treat? Or a break? You might want to think about what makes it a bad habit (the amount of time you spend?), and figure out how to counteract that. But it seems like you like playing, so don't deprive yourself of it altogether!
