Easier said than done though, right Alma? Do you have an idea as to how to work through your self-doubt? I think this is a real common obstacle for Creatives in general.....

My question is: "What are two things that are preventing you from being an extraordinary coach?"
The first thing that comes up for me is doubt. Or fear. Not of being a coach, but of being a successful entrepreneur. Not having guaranteed income is so scary for me, and the thought of putting all this effort into When I Grow Up to have it land with a splat is......horrifying. Depressing. Disastrous. All those things.

The second thing that comes up for me is my day job. If I had $1,000,000 I could wake up, coach, take a class or two, coach again, work on my business, and have my personal life. My business would grow exponentially (at least in my dream) and I could grow as a coach, as a business owner, and as a person. Ah. That would be my bliss.

I'll take the plunge and answer the bonus questions, too:
"Are these two things perceived or realistic?" Realistic, although I can see the ways of practically guaranteeing myself the means to become a full-time coach with a practically guaranteed income. There are so many things I could be doing - building my website, writing/pitching my book idea, creating some products, doing radio shows & interviews, networking to all the artists here in NYC & beyond, coming up with group coaching seminars, yada yada yada - but I have to prioritize & take baby steps. Having that patience is super tough for me!

"What are you going to do about these things?" I've already taken my woulda/shoulda/wannas and put them into my Master Tasker (aka To Do) list, so I have them out of my brain and prioritized. I know there are certain things that take precedence over others (like establishing myself as a legal business & learning how to handle my finances) & I'm going to allow myself the time to work with them.

"Are you willing to get rid of those two things?" Yes! Fear and my day job? Who needs 'em?! The fear thing I can work on by gaining confidence as each piece of the puzzle starts to come together, and to REALLY take the plunge and leave my day job when the numbers show me that I can. But until then....I'll release the fear & continue with the day job! I need the security blanket to live in NYC and to make sure my coaching business has a chance to be successful.
