I’m drafting this a day early, from my sick couch. It’s just a couch, but I’m sitting on it while I’m sick so it’s now “the sick couch.” Have I mentioned I’m a little loopy from the ‘Tussin?

This week I loved:

• Don’t Try To Be Original on Lateral Action. Yes, it conflicts with a big life lesson of mine, but it should really be titled Don’t Try To Be Anything But Yourself or Don’t Try To Be What You’re Not.
• Stuck? You May Need Somebody to Stand By You on Escape from Cubicle Nation & Creativity Series: Just Do It (4) on Decor8 shows the importance of having friends (the feeling’s oh so strong….Well you’ve gotta have…freeeeeh-ends…to make your days-Sorry, loving The Bette there)
• Etsy‘s installment of Quit Your Day Job, which features Etsy sellers who have (say it with me) quit their day jobs! Inspiring for any entrepreneur, but especially the creative ones.
• Empowerment: The Quality of This Moment on More In You could have been on Tough (Question) Tuesday. Why don’t you use it as such & answer this insightful question?
• the blog Abstract City on The New York Times. There are only 4 posts, but they’re really fab. I loved I Lego NY best, followed by The Boys & The Subway.
• 11 Tips for Dealing with Criticism on White Hot Truth should be read for #7 alone: “Don’t take any shit.”
• Two Simple Ways to Form New Habits on Zen Habits introduces us all to the half step.
• For a laugh, enjoy watching a commercial for the WTF Blanket, which is basically the Snuggie commercial with a new (awesome, hilarious, truthful) voiceover. Rated PG13 for language.
