I know it&#039;s been hard for us Democrats to not be nervous/pessimistic about this election, especially when the candidate is so far away from the &quot;safe&quot; picture of who the President of the United States usually is (read: older, white male). I woke my husband up this morning with the cry, &quot;He&#039;s still President-Elect! They didn&#039;t try to take it away while we slept!&quot; I&#039;ve been crying on and off all day (don&#039;t get me near a paper) and am now super optimistic in my hope for the future. 
 
What&#039;s Operation Nice? Would love to hear more! </description>

		<description>Great post! First time I voted in Presidential election was for Clinton in &#039;92.  
Last night&#039;s victory actually cracked my cynical facade--I had to shed a tear for the renewed hope I felt for my country. 
 
I think it&#039;s not just the big things in life that make a difference, it&#039;s the every day guestures (example: Operation Nice) that add up. </description>
